1992 240 SE 2.3i MANUAL
I'm selling my faithful 240 estate. Its not perfect but a nice tidy car.
MOT expiry 3/4/12 Tax end of October 2011 156200 miles All paperwork present and correct with spare keys. Genuine Volvo after market 240 voltmeter. Wood slatted roof rack that looks great but with a little surface rust on a few sections of the metal frame. GLT alloys with new tyres fitted in Sept 2009 New headlamps 2010 Tow Bar and twin electrics. Former keepers: 4 Service history Stamped in book (mileage): 14657 19220 24942 33548 38610 44477 54528 69828 82928 Receipts: 113216 Service 136915 Service 137212 miles Replacement ECU, air mass meter, coolant and oxygen sensor 141151 Service 146116 Service 150365 Head Gasket replaced 153187 Service Yearly service at independent Cheltenham Volvo specialist since 2009 when I bought the car. Last MOT had advisories: Windscreen has chip. Nearside front anti-roll bar rubber bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement Offside front anti-roll bar rubber bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement Offside front wheel bearing has slight play Play in offside steering drag link end. Front side light fixing has broken. Works fine and passed last MOT. Presently taped and secure. Catch at back of rear seats to enable them to fold flat has broken. However it is still possible to fold the seats by releasing each side manually. Some rust on nearside rear wheel arch. Small rust rust patch by windscreen. The trim on drivers side door has fallen off but not lost. (see photo) Unfortunately the stereo is my partners and I can't sell it. The wiring has been changed to fit an aftermarket head unit so easy to put your own in. The speakers are original but are not broken and sound OK. I will include the original stereo which worked perfectly when removed. Engine runs well, no smoking. Bodywork very solid with usual dings and scratches. Not too bad at all. Clean interior with no rips in the leather. Professionally valeted Would love this car to go to an enthusiast who can give this 240 a little TLC, not that it needs much! Car is near Cheltenham. Please feel free to contact me if you want to have a look and ask questions. Test-drives very welcome. £650 Some photos below and even more here:http://www.flickr.com/photos/3952879...7627756384404/) |

This looks like a great buy for someone, very nice spec and the late 2.3s don't turn up often!

I love the colour and spec and it's ticked all my box's But for the rust. I know it's not a big job to get put right but I have NO facilities to do it so I will continue my hunt. And yes I would love owning a 264TE but the prices look to be going up and up out of my reach. £1021 £710 £450 And thats early on. Regards Brian. |

I know what you mean about the rust, I was thinking the same thing about the colour and spec.......................I love the roof rack, but again without paying someone to fix the rust ( I am guessing a lot?) I have no way of getting that sorted before winter.
Cheers Andy
