There are a lot of relays under there.

If the 'clicking' is there with the car stationary I'd suggest you remove the cover and try a finger on each relay, you should be able to feel which one is clicking.

Hi, The misfire problem has finally been sorted, the last and only thing left to change was the plug leads and i did this on Sunday, afterwards i went for a drive up the M1 and it was perfect. the car just passed a 100,000 miles last week and we've never had a problem with it before this, so I'm not too annoyed that I've changed so many parts. Thanks for all the advice including changing the plug leads. Ian
