Wondering how the plasti dip is holding up , looked great in your post with the dubious yellow tints - did they stay on too?

Sent my ECU off to Shem to get flashed from Automatic V70R to Manual V70R suitability plus a Stage 1 re-map.
Looking forward to getting that back

Ha!! Severely dubious!!! Both still on... Grille looks great still, probably due to the amount of coats it got. Got to admit I'm still cautious when washing it, but so far so good. 👍🏻

Fitted a new boost control valve to the C70. The car ran fine on part throttle, but when on full throttle the acceleration would surge and then back off, surge and back off. I cleaned the maf and inlet some weeks ago and it cured it for a short while but the surging gradually came back. It is now running as it should, constant, even acceleration on full throttle, through the gears and keeps going smoothly to 130mph and still plenty more. Private road I hasten to add.
It is now much more responsive under all throttle conditions and a real joy to drive.

After spending a week unsuccessfully trying to get somebody to do it for me I jacked up the 850 to see if changing the inner axle bush myself was an option. I'd been led to believe that it was a difficult job so I wanted to see just how difficult it would be. An hour or so later it was done.
Retest tomorrow, then get the tracking checked and it should be good to go for another year.

Today I have found and repaired a broken wire for the rear wiper, refitted driver's door card that was broken and so which I glued yesterday and I also applied some WD40 to the rubber on the firewall for the steering column as it sounded like a dying cat down there. All quiet down there now.

As above the retest and tracking have been done. The new bush seems to have cured the steering shake that I was blaming on a driveshaft, which was nice.
I've enquired about getting dealer show plates made.
