Thank You MRG and Everyone!!!
Well, what can I say?? What an utterly superb meet it was yesterday; it was by far the most enjoyable meet of this kind I've been to for a very long time!!
First and foremost, my sincere thanks to Simon, Tony and all the other guys at MRG; they really have surpassed themselves and that is a comment I heard from several people yesterday. A special word of thanks is due to Neil Smedley, Managing Director of MRG, who was very much involved with "behind the scences" organisation as well. Many thanks also to those who took the time to come down for the meet, stretching all the way from Lancashire to Cambridgeshire and West Wales....the guys from MRG were truly astounded when they learned that! Everyone walked away with a souvenir by way of the prize raffle and to top it all off everyone collectively raised a couple of hundred pounds for Children In Need too....it does not get any better than that! The company was excellent, the food laid out by MRG was exceptional too (wouldn't have been out of place at a top-notch hotel reception); I really am at a loss for words.... I am also really glad that there was a wide range of cars from 240s right up to a 3 week old C30 which made it up onto the ramps. Having the trade stands from Autoglym and Snap-On worked out very well too. I believe the guy from Snap-On turned up with goods in his van worth far in excess of the value of my house, and the guy from Autoglym agreed that Dave's V70R looked every bit as good as the new cars in the showroom! It was a real pleasure meeting some new faces and meeting up with the "regulars" too. I sincerely hope that everyone enjoyed themselves. It was a real pleasure organising this together with Simon and I would like to thank IC for his support in promoting the event too. If you would like to have something similar organised for next year, please express your interest following this post and also give an indication of any additional things you may like to have done on the day or how (if any) things could be improved. Once again, many thanks to the guys at MRG and to everyone who turned up (including those who were planning to but were unable to) for your support.

Here's a link to a few photos...I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that we should all invest in covers for our reg plates to save hours of editing!

Well Ashok, I was trying to put together a thankyou, but you have said it all in your post.
What a fantastic day, I bet those who didn't make it are kicking them selves now for not making the effort. Thanks to you and all at MRG. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat. Regards David

I honestly dont think MRG could have done any more than they did! It was a shame that we could only say thanks. For next year we could get on to Castle Combe (spelling) and do a few laps or get on that airstrip that somebody talked about yesterday, that would be much cheaper as we would just hire it out for half a day. We could do some sprints, 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile runs and a handling course for example, similar to TOTB And as a proper thank you to MRG we would of course take all the team down there and try and scare them the best we can with passenger rides in all the cars Morning could be spent on track and the afternoon spent at MRG just in case any cars have issues.
