It appears that Volvo is now using Harman/Kardon speakers for their Premium sound system, see this post:

This is pure speculation on my part, but perhaps Volvo's latest strategy is to shop around for the best premium speaker deal and use them. And rather than badge their system with the speaker brand, they badge it Premium Sound to keep their options open in future.

I have a Dynaudio badged system in my XC60 and it is SUPERB, but I'm sure a Harman/Kardon system will be similar. After all, MB uses Harman/Kardon in their cars...

The salesman did not know what kind of system that is put into my car... is there a way finding it out?

Picking up my car before the weekend or right after... can´t wait! I went to the place where they do the car ready, and when I got there they were making the car sooo shiny! Hoping that the nice weather will continue... new car + panoramic sunroof + Premium sound + great weather = The best feeling in the world!

Can beleive it, but my new car arrives on 1st July (2010). ordered it from the lease company at the end of April, so its a MY11. Lets hope it does not fall to bits / have too many recall issues.


it will be goodbye to the Reliant Robin - what will the blokes down in the nags Head say?

Probably be P***ing down when mine arrives in Sept (will have to keep my sunroof closed )

Seems leasing companies have the power! Is it D3 or D5 engine as have heard may be delays on D3??

Well the day has finally arrived (well almost), I'm picking up my D3 ES manual tomorrow after a long wait (ordered it back in late February !). I've been Reading all of your posts with interest so would like to say thankyou for helping me keep my sanity.

Still no word yet, I was told that it would be ready for the Sept 1st on a 60 plate.

How much advance notice do dealers have of delivery etc. I've been told, by my wife btw, to leave it until next week before I make contact.
