Got to agree with you there, there was less water coming from the shower when I had one than is in the air around here at the moment, very heavy and unpleasant - more heavy rain coming my way I think.

I would agree it is too much to ask them to do at the one time.
either they will balls it all up and/or miss something out and you need another visit anyway. Iain

A Volvo dealer has Billy McNoMates working on your car for 12 hours solid to service it and do two other jobs ? When's it booked in for? Better warn Inverness Volvo customer's the place will be shut for a day and a half.

Drive 108 miles and hand car over around 12.30. Return home and wait for conformation that work is complete, which will be the next day. Driving to and from Inverness can take up to 3 hours each way, depending on traffic. There are no Motorways, where I live. tem.

It's easy to forget the extremities of the UK take a long time to cover.
I remember driving down to Lands End and being amazed how long it took after Exeter (before the A30 was dualled).

I consider myself as being lucky, to live on the mainland.
There are Volvo owners who live in the Western Isles, Orkney and Shetland. Nearly all are required to take ferry crossings, to get to the main dealers in Aberdeen, Glasgow or Inverness. tem.

My light just came back on today, will call Volvo assist in the week and see what they diagnose.
Then I'll pursue the credit company to reject the car, as this will be the fourth repair in 18 months. Been driving it hard since last repair, now need another set on front tyres because of this, only run on premium fuel. And do roughly 2000-2500 miles a month. Managed nearly exactly 10,000 miles this time. Also I was told I have the latest permanent fix that was bought about after Volvo did extensive road testing, how many times do I need to accept this lie? Obviously the light could be unrelated to the EGR Last edited by Marc01; May 15th, 2016 at 13:35. |
