Car got through its MOT, failed on handbrake effort first time round. Turns out the rubbers sealing the handbrake cable& hadn't been put on properly so full or water etc! Gave them a good clean and lube, enough to get through the MOT easily, hoping it frees up a bit more now but never really bothered me as it was.

On another note, anyone seen this car for sale http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232098604099

A case of 'built like a tank', 'looks like a tank', 'drives like a tank', so it must be a Volvo Obviously all done for a good cause, but what a shame a T4 had to suffer in that way. I do like the Renault 'copter' btw.

Gave mine a quick wash today.

First time since ceramic coating the alloys.

Tyres and arches still need to be dressed.

Think I might ceramic coat the calipers too.

Also, received a full set of tailored mats from Judgeninja, yesterday.

I know, I don't have a T4, but they sit nicely inside the original, rubber winter pack mats.

Further to my previous post, I also received my new dual mass flywheel and clutch kit, from Ashok.

Installation commences on Monday, along with a service and headlight adjusters repaired.

Now that I'm happy the T4 isn't a pile of scrap, I did some cosmetic stuff on it yesterday...

Started cleaning the seats with saddle soap, you can see the dirt on the bolster...

Back seat before and after

Gave it a proper hoover too, under the back seats was yuk - loads of kid debris like bits of crisp, lego, etc. Have still got an unknown sticky white lump (ewuggh) on the left hand side that needs removing with something wet

Reconditioned an old set of rubber floor mats that I got from the orange cat (thank you) with Back To Black and found out that the liquid shoe shine that you get in the bottle with a sponge applicator thingy is really good for covering those whitish marks you get when the rubber gets old, they look brand new again

I've got to put my console side panel back on, have been fixing the silly velcro tabs that snapped off when I took it off to test the wiring.

I have to deal with this somehow...

This was taken when the exposed leather was still a bit wet so it looks a lot darker than it really is, I'm going to need some sort of colourant though, been looking at various ones.

And gave it a wash, then it rained 20 minutes later

But with the access to wreckers parts you lot have
I would grab an unused passenger seat and swap the covers

Over here I grabbed mint rear V40 upholstery chopped it up
treated it, and for 100 quid the upholstery bloke stitched a
couple of new ones and fitted them
