New radiator ordered, brand new off ebay for under 40 quid and free delivery, that'll do me, I'm getting about 200 miles per header tank (full to practically empty) so it's definitely necessary.

Measured the last tank at 48.6mpg, a new record for this car!!

Redex appears to be doing the business in winter, it's been added to the last 4 tanks and I have noticed a 3mpg increase on the usual but this one was excellent. I might have simply been driving a bit more casually for that tank, but I have been going up and down hills a lot more than usual so I doubt it's that.

Decided to celebrate my MOT pass with a short road trip to North Yorkshire, had a wander round Whitby, then on to Robin Hoods Bay for a walk on the beach with black pudding and chips - was planning to stop at Boggle Hole too, but it was getting dark and the tide was in, so gave it a miss and drove back to Lincoln. Car drove beautifully and never missed a beat.

Made the mistake of giving it a good wash before we left - now it's filthy and covered in seagull $#!T - looks like it hasn't seen bucket and sponge in years :-(

Found out that there is water coming in my boot so the lights are my first suspect.

300 mile round trip over new year completed without incident, there must still be a trace amount of that sealer in my cooling system, because I haven't lost a single drop of water which it's been constantly losing for weeks, the steaming radiator appears to have repaired itself, and of course it would only do that now I've already ordered a new rad wouldn't it, bloody typical haha

Took me even longer. Those bastards just keep spinning on the ball joint axis if you try to undo the bolt and there were no hex holes to keep it in place. Had to cut them off with a dremel. What a nightmare.
