Rear wiper fixed but now counter clockwise
I followed the instructions and fixed the stuck axle. I have a left rear wiper that should go from left to right.
When testing it on the car it appeared that the wiper now goes from the 9 position on the clock counter clockwise to the 3 position and back. What did I do wrong? Thanks, Henk |

Re: Rear wiper fixed but now counter clockwise
Problem now fixed. It turned out I assumed the rest position was on the left (9 o'clock position) but that was just the position it got stuck in. So I mounted the wiper on the right (3 o'clock) and all was fine.
Well, as the saying goes: assumption is the mother ... HenkK V70 D5 Sport, 2006 |

Does anyone esle have the complete unit feeling loose although it works fine? Ours feels as if it will fall off. Lot of movement.

It might be a broken wire in the tailgate loom, at the hinge where it has to flex... simplest thing is to use a multimeter on the loom contacts where the motor plugs in and check you have a good ground and 12V on them.

Worn white wheel/cog
I have recently taken mine apart and I have a worn white wheel.

I would suggest lubricating the spindles on these every two years and have a eye to the speed of the wiper - they generally give some warning of imminent seizure. |
