Default Does the CEM update work?

Yes!

From my basic tests follows:

Change to RH lights and the message RH lights message appears.

Get out of the car and lock, then unlock and start car.

RH message is displayed to remind you of the light setting.

The new part:

When you change back to LH by unticking the option a message appears to remind you that the lights are set for LH.

So I would say that it is now working?

Have you locked and left the car for 15-20 minutes until the central electrical module shuts down, before unlocking and restarting the car? That's when it seems to default back to LH. If your's still stays on RH can you try and find the name/number of the CEM update applied?

Hi Jim. As Mike H says it needs to be left for at least 10mins. I thought mine was working initially under the same test as you did, but found it reverts back to LH after 10-15 mins once locked.
Also while away on holiday this year I noticed that it also gives a message saying Lights set to LH traffic once they're switched back. So I'm afraid that's not new.

Ok I will go out and set it to RH now and leave it for an hour or so.

Mine never used to display LH, so that is new for me!!

Yes, you are right, returning after 90 minutes the setting had been lost.

I feel another email is due.

I agree, my dealer said Volvo UK don't intend to do anything further.

Good luck

Well I set mine last night to RHD locked the car and left it over night.

This morning I started the car and no set for RH traffic came up. I Scrolled into Sensus and the box was still ticked. Then the RH traffic appeared. I switched it back LH Traffic and had the LH traffic sign come up. So I have no idea if it was RH traffic when I started the car, but hinkit was.

Oh well a month in France and Italy will let me know.

I presume the "JK" is Jane Kelly, who is the same person I have been corresponding with. So good to know that one person is seeing that several of us are experiencing this issue.
