I see the new Haldax system can transmit 100% of the drive to the rear.

Apart from the body it really is a completly different car to the 163bhp now.

Bump!

Still got the rubbing noise at slow speed.

I see another thread has started with a similar noise. (MY2010 R-Design)

Anyone got rid of theirs or had the dealer investigate?

My Dec 18th delivered car is pretty low mileage (still less than 2000) and is not due its health check yet and as it is very intermittent I have not spoken to my dealer about it.

No it's the latest 200hp version as in the thread title.

Unless someone knows better I haven't heard of a further upgrade from 200hp that polestar provide.

I think that is only for the twin turbo 205 engine - not the XC90 200

Where did you see the info?

There is a polestar for the older 185 engine to 205 bhp
and a polestar for the new D5 twin turbo engine from 205 to 225 bhp ...

This "new" 200 bhp engine is a milder polestar i rekon :-)

moncman, it was my R-Design with the low speed squeak and yes was sorted today - was rubber covering bottom coils of spring on nsf rubbing in coil bottom holding cup. To check if this is yr problem lift bonnet and push up and down on crossmember at front and see if you can hear the squeak/rubbing noise from the suspension strut, if you can apply some lubricating gelto the rubber but make sure it isnt one which willadversely effect the rubber. I cant believe the difference it has made to mine.

It really isn't that different, except a lot worse on fuel than the 163 and in manual form and with a revised ecu programming (198-205 bhp)getting over 37.8 mpg with wife 4 kids and car full with luggage etc and thats calculating the old fashion way with computer showing 40.5mpg over a 130 mile journey, and with good performance.
The newer model does look nicer though with bigger bumpers, new lights, colour coding and under valance trims, but interior looks no different to me?wonder what the all new xc90 will be like,do hope it has a auto handbrake feature at least as is a must, why have these internal shoes?,as the mondeo i use for work uses the same rear caliper brakes as the handbrake, as the cables are connected to the calipers also, seems a lot better design to me as the handbrake is excellent, but the xc90 handbrake shoes are poor even when new, can't be trusted always leave it in gear or p on a auto.
