Hit it with etch primer

And moved on to bumper brackets - with my nice new stainless bumpers on there way to me from Vietnam I thought the brackets should get a tidy before getting bolted on....

And stripped n etch primed

Did you use supplied air? That stuff is toxic.

That would explain the headache !!
Just kidding

No supplied air but outside with a breeze and a mask - still tried to keep myself upwind of it....

Bumper brackets into black...

On Saturday I got a txt from the boys @ Sandy Coachworks in Sandy bedfordshire to say the amazon would be out of the oven and all buffed up ready to go by lunchtime on Sunday...

I was so happy, I've had many experiences with having cars repaired / painted all over the world and they've never been ready on time and on quoted price....

So it was trailer on again and an excited drive across Bedfordshire to get the old girl back....

Very pleased when I arrived to find the multicoloured flat old bus that I dropped off waiting for me in the booth with a gleaming shiny layer of pearl white on her

Handed over some notes and got her pushed out and on the trailer again, maybe for the last time.... Maybe.

If anyone is within distance of Bedfordshire and looking for a panel and paint solution call Chris at Sandy Coachworks on 01767 682 300

Hi Ya

some superwork going on there andy its coming together very well i do love that color my fav color on an amazon estate it just suits there car so much and from what i can see the wheels look fantastic also .
is it a red interior ? you have to go inside the car spose your like me run out of storage space and find its best laid in the car till needed or your doing work inside the car so it all has to come back out again lol

keep up the good work and the images coming

all the best

Great work and progressing on quickly. Getting nearer completion but all the little fiddly bits take the time.

Thanks guys

Yes Robert interior is red and also a storage unit

It's the darker red that has a black fleck through it, well all of irbid except the back seat - i struggled to find one that wasn't just the plain lighter red...

Ran into a little prob just now - my estate wheels all have valve holes that are too big for a standard valve - it just drops back in - anyone had same issue ?
I did a bit if research and found that land rover 110 take a larger size valve than normal but that was a bout it...
I've quickly purchased a set of metal screw in vales to solve the problem hopefully

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1511802289...84.m1439.l2649

I can just use a larger washer on the topside if need be...

Pain in the but as it stopped me getting it down on the ground and rolling again, as just mentioned - it's the little bits that add up

Some pics tomorrow
