What is the average MPG being obtained for a XC60 5D AWD.

Had my XC60 D5 R-Design Auto for 4 weeks and covered 1150 miles. Mixture of journies, some only 10 miles, others up to 80 miles. Car computer showing 34.3 average mpg since new. On 80 mile trips best showing was 40.2 driving about 60-80 mph. Think mpg is good for new engine!

D5 Auto I am currently averaging 29 MPG but i have got a rather heavy right foot.I just fill up when it says empty towing a mini digger last week from a standing start was showing 0.3 MPG ?

Well having just had mine in for its first service, the mpg seems markedly higher. Just did a 200 mile all motorway roundtrip at a steady 70 - 80 mph and got 42.1 mpg according to the new Sensus 3 stats module.

That's pretty good when my old Zafira got about 27mpg (admittedly it was petrol, but still)

It can be rather addictive watching the bars move across during the trip and anticipating if the next one is going to be higher or lower!

I await sharing this same adiction - mine is in for it's 1st years service & Senus 3 update tomorrow.........................

In case you haven't already, do go out of your way to specify that you want the Sensus upgrade. My dealer said that it wasn't a part of the service that would be done automatically, but that I could have it done free if I requested it.

(Even then they didn't do it, so I had to take it back a couple of days later for the upgrade - but that's another story!)

Already requested it when I booked it in for it's service several weeks ago. Will be interesting to see it is actually done................

Done 14k miles now and had first service. Normally average around 32mpg, but been tooling around this week sticking to the speed limit, light throttle,etc. It's averaged 38mpg over 200miles so far of mixed motorway and A Road with light traffic. Bored now, sport mode engaged........

My dealer forgot to do the download also. Return trip sorted it out.

Had mine new May 2nd, XC60 D5 R-Design Ice White, just covered 1800 miles. MPG seems to be improving week by week! Do a regular round trip between Manchester and Welshpool, good mix of motorway and A roads, about 160 miles total. First time averaged 38.6 mpg, second 40.3 mpg and this week 44.2 mpg. I will be more than happy if this improvement continues!
Around town mpg varies between 28-32mpg.
