58 years young and drive an 07 XC90 V8 SE LUX
My second Volvo, the first being a dark blue 244 DL if I remember correctly all those years ago. Having owned around 56 cars in my life I don't understand why it took me so long to get a Volvo. My early years were Ford Capri's, with my favourites being my 2.8 injection special and my last in the line the 280 Brooklands, wish I'd kept that now😥😥

I'm 37 my most recent Volvo being an 89 240 my daily driver when not restoring and reviving, owned about 9 years, cars always tend to bring back memories.
I once invested £70 in a Rover 416 this was the begining of my classic motoring however it was rather ill but I managed to make my money back, next was a proper Fiat Panda a Selecta for £250 when I passed my test it was basic but full of character I loved every minute with it, it sprang a leak between cylinders 2 and 3 it is my one main regret if I had had the knowledge and tools I have now I'm pretty sure I'd be using it as my daily driver, I trawl ebay now and then but no luck real Pandas are rare enough nevermind Selectas. After that died I took on a new Micra a nice car but new can be bloody dull and at £255 a month plus compulsory services expensive, so I ran that for a year driving it to St Austell to pick up my first Volvo and ebay acquisition, a 740 GL for £103, had to stop in Bristol to un seize the front calipers it was a great hoot to drive lasting about 18 months, when it died I went nuts and trully insane and bought an utterly ileagal (for me anyway) manual Tipo for £75 I would drive it in the dark just to keep my hand in hardly ever stalling soon sanity beckoned selling it to a chap who needed its gearbox for his Strada. To cut many stories short others followed a 205 for £250, 760 GLE 7 seater for £300, 4th generation Civic twin carb for £140 and to the present day or rather December 2009 and a £240 Volvo 240, 2.0 automatic with 112k miles my first car after getting my license back after my epilepsy returned giving 'Greta' more sentimental significance. Driving to Gothenburg the other year was brilliant, I take it on as many adventures as possible most recently Brittany in March but all great memories. Hope I didn't bore you all too much Scott |

I'm 55, and have just returned to Volvo ownership after many years with a XC70 2.0 2010
I've owned 3 240 estates over the years, the last one in 99 had the roof cut off and became our garden wheelbarrow for many years. |

50 and have a very nice low mileage XC70 in a beige/gold. SE Lux model. 185 D5. Hopeless ride on a windy road but a lovely car. I've also a Caddy company van so the XC is a bit of an indulgence.
