The National Rally & BKV - does it really exist ?

Hi all just browsing my June issue of the driver mag and noticed it has the "WRONG" postcode for Thoresby hall.It says-NG229EF which is Perlethorpe about a mile away.The "CORRECT" postcode for satnav users is NG229WH.

Maybe if it's drier we could all gatecrash it.Although looking at google earth it's a farm Lol.

Two day rally - joke. Would the organizers like to refund my £50 fuel costs?
Arrived at midday - nothing. Left at 16:00 after watching the AutoGlym stand pack up at 15:00.
Great venue wasted. Only plus point were the loos!
Advertising the set-up day as part of the rally is very misleading. I don't think I'll be renewing my membership next year.

was it really that bad?

I'm torn between going and not tbh as for me it is 3-4hrs each way so don't really want 6-8hrs of driving for a waste of a day.

Sunday always going to be the busier day of the two just because of the bkv itself.

Sadly mudflap is spot on. I'm very glad I decided to make a night away of it as having driven up from Essex telling my 3 year old all the stuff he'd see and things he could do (as per the sticky thread-ambulance, hearse, bouncy castle etc etc etc) there was... nothing. A few cars in a very large field. We got straight back in the car and had some family time together at a local B&B.

I don't mind - I'd always planned to come for two days and I can only hope that today delivers. Even the few people who I spoke to yesterday were saying it was basically a set up day. To that end it probably is really a one rather than two day event.

To be fair, I think the weather played a big part, for me it was still nice to put some faces to names, I just wish I could go today.
