Default Silver Torslanda

So after seeing this here and there out of the corner of my eye for a few days, I find it parked at the side of my office in Burnley this morning.
Paint work needs attention and the wheels arches have visible rust, much worse condition than my ex-1986 :-(

Saw two on the A30 in West Cornwall on Saturday, a saloon going eastwards towards Hayle and an estate going westwards near the junction with the A39. As an ex-Morris Traveller driver I'm used to a degree of camaraderie between drivers of similar cars so it's a bit of a shock when one's friendly wave isn't acknowledged! These cars seem to be quite as rare as Morris Minors, after all, so you'd think people would be pleased to see another one. Perhaps it's a woman thing; soon after we bought our 240 I arrived at a roundabout at the same time as another one and the young woman driving it beeped and waved excitedly before we went our different ways.

It rains down south just occasionally, but only at night of course so as not to upset the holidaymakers!

Saw a red 240, or similar, Estate this morning on the road between Bodmin and Fowey. I gave a cheery wave but didn't see any response.

I must be the only one who ever sees a 240 these days. Another, a white one, going towards Lostwithiel on the A390 this morning.

Red 240 estate, always parked a couple of streets away from where I work in Cambridge. Sadly in pretty tatty state: paint faded, frilly edges, "lived-in" beige interior. But good to see it defiantly still on the road. (Actually, I think it's a G-reg, so a year newer than my 740!)

I followed a shiny white 240GL on an F plate with scorpius alloys down the A316 from Hammersmith to Sunbury this afternoon. I got a nod from the driver, nice car if you're on here!

I waved yesterday to a fellow white estate driver near Aberaeron, Ceredigion.

No response confirmed my observation that 240 owners as a rule don't wave.
Ever tried waving to a 740 driver? Surly lot, mostly builders or smallholders running their decrepit vehicles into the ground.

A nice P1800 drove past my red 240 Estate here in Sheffield the other day, don't know if he's on here?
