I hesitated for a moment but it's a no from me on the white walls. I think the early cars with the non vented wheels can look right with them in the right colour though. Cars looking a treat - has to be the best colour for the estate.

I agree with Amazonjulian. Be o.k. with early wheels. The slotted wheels have a sporty look, doesn't blend with WW's.
My 2cents. Car is looking great!

Keep comments coming guys..... Don't be shy.....
I'm 50/50 myself Yes they are inserts I'm not a big fan of the fit of them To remove after the tyre is fitted is very easy where as to fit them is a bit more tricky - that's why I threw them on to see Back on the car tomorrow |

No, me neither. It seems too big a distraction, especially since the car is an off-white. What about the newer whitewalls, which are just a small stripe?

Hi hope your Pearl White amazon is having a good Christmas. As for the "unexpectedness": are you expecting something under the Christmas tree?
(My spell-checker likes it, so I think the word exists)

Andy if you like the whitewalls then keep them. I do think they look better on the solid rims but it is your car and your build so keep going with what you like

So after much debate I was forced to make a difficult decision about my estate Project,
and a couple of Days Before Xmas me and my volvo parted ways she got loaded up onto a trailer (again) and I delivered her to a new captain... I felt particularly bad as she was instantly locked away in a Cold dark Place and apparently wont be coming out until the sun is well and truly shining.... Ive never really got attached to a car Before but im really going to miss this one... Bon Voyage old girl..... see you on the other side..... |
