Be interesting in UK law and the 30 days rejection how they would be with things like, excessive road noise with 20" wheels, also software not working like spotify or online connections or VOC etc, also auto parking not working effectively.

I doubt the road noise issue would be considered as "not fit for purpose" as it's quite a subjective measure. But the failure of the vehicle to operate satisfactorily as ordered and reasonably expected - i.e. the accumulation of software faults - might form a case for rejection. If it does, a precedent is established and the door is open for others to use the same argument to return their faulty cars. So expect Volvo to construct a formidable defense argument, but better still to bend over backwards to help out those disgruntled owners. Thanks that is good info. No one wants to have to reject the car but nice to know how you stand.

My Uncle is a master tech down at Volvo and he's told me that Volvo are constantly releasing software updates for this car since it's release, so it may be worth going down for an update to see if that fixes any of the issues you're having.
I do wonder about these cars and the technology, my T4 has 7 computer modules controlling it and I thought that was too much, the XC90 has over 110! EDIT - Just showed my uncle the pictures and his response was "Well who ever PDI'd that car was blind, it should never have gone out to the customer" Hope you get it sorted soon OP. Update
It's now over 48 hours and still nothing, not even a courtesy call.

There is provision in the new law to stop dealers from deliberately slowing down an investigation so that it goes beyond the 30 days. Basically, any time spent investigating a problem doesn't count towards the 30 days. Three days have passed since I supplied the photo and they accepted it (by forwarding it to Sweden) therefore I would argue that the 30-day clock is stopped for now.
