howdy amazonions

well, down here volvo progress is slow but its progress none the less.....

I think I've now painted all 'the bits'

Finally

I've been plodding away at tidying up, straightening, priming and now painting all the little bits and my new tailgate and this arvo hopefully I've sprayed the last of everything into colour

lots of prep..... the key to painting.....

had to get the welder fired up to add some metal into the licence plate holder

and shiney paint - so had to splash out on shiney new reflectors

all came out pretty good

decent shine right off the gun

yay, more bits to bolt on

hopefully more updates soon

The satisfaction of bolting on fresh parts is just immense

then full of motivation I took on the task of fitting the rear screen trim into my new tailgate glass rubber..... oh what a challenge, I had read so many stories on here, I was dreading it.....

patience, patience, patience

tailgate on , new screen rubber, trim fitted - went out that night feeling like I could do just about anything !!!

wrong again.....

ok not too much to update on the estate pic wise just a few little bits knocked off...

Fitted new check straps on the diff

and a little bit of shopping

I came across a NOS drivers side outer door handle in the states and just couldn't resist....
paid too much but - its my door ! The other three are good enough

Main reason for this is post is to get some opinions.....

1. Fuel pump - I want to get rid of the mechanical pump and fit a Facet Electric pump under the floor in front of the tank and fit a stainless delete over the hole in the engine.... any problems with doing this ? any tips ?

2. Starter Motor - whats the story with this 940 starter upgrade ?
worth it ? what do I need ?

3. Battery - I'm not near the car right now and want to research the best battery type and size to buy - any advice - is an optima worth the $$$

thats it for now - will have some progress pics soon....

I've been a bit lazy as its been too hot here to do much... he he he
sorry couldn't resist...

oh and I had another will power failure and bought this

66 pearl white rhd man 2 door with a red interior and a cool number plate

big smiles but wife angry...
