Doesn't seem to be a huge difference between them - mine are ice blue and I like them

Smile Headlight Switch bulbs, and the Climate control bulbs

Hello!
I want to replace my Headlight Switch bulb and the Climate control bulbs. I read the topic and another forums, but I have a question.
Can I replace the Headligh Switch with the following T4 bulbs: http://www.wardenjp.com/stores/neo2_neowedge.jpg ?
And for the Climate control: http://www.wardenjp.com/stores/neo42_neowedge.jpg ?

And what color is the better? The "Amber" color is close to the original?

Thank's for your support, and sorry if someone asked this question before me.

Amber is a nice color, similar to BMW's

White comes in ice and warm (warm is more yellowish)

Blue also has regular (intense blue) and ice (more whitish)

And the T4 and T4 tall bulbs will fit exactly?

Finally got round to replacing my heater control panel bulbs (3). Dug the old bits and glass out of the holders. Fed the extra long bulb wires down thru. Cut off the excess and wrapped a bit around the contact peg.
Refitted, perfick!

Default Very good instruction and I made it

Thanks a lot for your instructions! I have done the job as you did, except removing those knobs Releasing the hose thingy in the middle was an obstacle to me, and I got help from another instruction on the web for that. Anyway, your post gave me a confidence to do it myself and I could make it.

V40 - 2002

Should the potentiometer/dimmer also adjust the light intensity of the area in the picture as well as the entire dashboard?

Or should that section remain always 100% bright even when the dimmer is at its minimum?

Always stays 100% bright, just the dash where the speedo is gets dimmer or brighter

Thank you!

That bright back light is pretty annoying driving in dark roads during the night.

Do anyone know why some of these 1st gen S40/V40 can dim that area and other don't?

Mine is Germany imported.
