Xc90 D5 2003 with 90300 miles on the clock

I have a 2000 V70 2.5TDI WITH 259096 on the clock. Only problem is cold starting. Pulls a 5 berth caravan at 39MPG so no worries there

Dads V70 Tdi Classic has just tipped over 180k miles. No problems except a MAF going at about 100k.

I have a 2004 V40 1.9DS that has covered 162,000 in 8 years, it is now giving me problems so I am not sure Volvo reliability is meeting its reputation, I think mine has a renault engine so that might explain it!

Hi, always had volvos over the last 40 years.
This one has been the best 54 plate with 25,000 miles,well done Renault diesel engines.

1.9DS 2004 (115 BHP) 162,534 miles and once started runs without any issues. It is also an ex-police car so hasnt had an easy life which is reflected in the smoke stained ceiling and grubbiness of the interior, bloody coppers! too many mid morning bacon buttys and fags! why dont they go catch some bent coppers lol!

Untill I bought this car,I have always disliked french cars/engines,but this one performs well with non sainsbury diesel,Always use Esso diesel.
Never use Tesco diesel,knacked up a fuel pump on my last car £1800 to replace at Volvo,they recommended Esso.
