Way back I'm sure Milton Keynes had a Mountain Rescue team* despite having no mountains, the group helped the Police looking for missing persons and when there was local flooding etc. As I recall there was a kerfuffle and they had to be Mountain Rescue as there was no other way to be formulated and regulated, nowadays it seems we are covered by Bucks Search and Rescue which is part of the Lowland Rescue organisation.

*Facebook has a Milton Keynes Mountain Rescue but I get the impression they're using the name ironically for a social group.
