Have you tried getting intouch with a vehicle trimmer and getting your set retrimed?

Yes, I have been in touch with my usually "can do anything" trim chap - his headlinings are beautiful, and leather work on seats likewise - but he is doubtful if he can get the two-way-stretch needed to retrim doorcards. He says the manufacturers will have used custom heated moulds and presses. I am going to get him to have a go at my existing cream ones though.

Maybe do something a little different? Does it have to be the same as original? Make it more personal to you

Yep, I'd sell my soul for matching cream leather tuck'n'roll or deep buttoned doorcards, a-la old skool US hotrod custom scheme - but I suspect the cost would be simply astronomical!
