Suddently, i noticed after replacing the module, which i suppose included the plastic shell as well, some scratches/dents on the upper side of each button that i haven't noticed before.
It makes my nail or finger snap on it and looks like someone tried to pry on them with a screwdriver or something..

I have this problem as well! Nearly all the time the buttons on the right of the steering wheel don't work. Specifically notice this when I receive a text message and it pops up in the driver's display. The only way I can clear it is by going and reading the message on the main display to clear it. Can be really annoying when trying to use the navigation on the driver's display! I also can typically never use these controls to switch songs, although I think the volume controls work consistently? I had been thinking it was an issue with the connection to my phone somehow but maybe getting the dealer to replace these buttons will do the trick.

Buttons replaced on my V60 under warranty. No questions asked, no problem.

Many dealers are aware of the problem.

Mine were replaced without the dealer even checking.

Yeah it's a very common problem. I've had mine since May 2019 and it's already been in twice for problematic buttons. First time they just replaced the right hand button pack, about a month later it went again, so this time they replaced the wiring loom and both sets of buttons.

Mine also went intermittent and didn't want to show the dealer the problem first time, I couldn't get the courtesy car back in time though so I instructed them to keep it and someone could take it home, and try in the morning. Luckily it faulted!

Have this issue on mine - RHS steering wheel button set only. Good to know it is a common issue.
