You done right man, i'd spend my last penny on the dog or any family mamber, the car will wait quite happily.

Hope you get sorted soon man, but think of it this way, i'd be the same as you, i'd rather a job done right, but £800 on a car which probably isnt worth much more than that (not being cheeky), at £200 a pop, you'd get at least 2 gearboxes, and whats the chances of having bother with another box if its in PWO.

well apart from the gearbox the car is mint iv just spent a few grand replacing everything i can on the car. i think the geabox and engine are the only 2 things i having replaced LOL
