You are correct an air bleed goes at the top A nice un-chewed crayon for you A drain would go on the bottom, so if the OP has a drain at the top then it is upside down chief

You can see the drain on the oem setup in the bottom corner.

This aluminium rad has a brass plug, I have no use for a drain as I would just pull the bottom hose off, rather than wait half an hour for it to drain from the drain off. An air bleed is however very useful with silicone hose's which have no bleed. A leaking drain off will loose all coolant eventually, an air bleed will drain to that level. Under pressure it will loose more but you would most likely see the steam.

Ok so I managed to get some pictures of the right and left side of the radiator. I circled the drain plug in red and as you can see, its on the top instead of the bottom

I'm getting the feeling so far that it won't be a problem leaving the radiator upside down so I'll probably leave it as is if it won't cause any problems.

No way Jose, are any of you going to upset the social order and try and dupe us
insisting that there are people out there attempting to confuse the masses
by installing radiators upside down (with the drain **** at the top, yeah right)
in a conspiracy to have us believe that upside down radiators actually exist
as then the world as we know it will collapse.

A complete societal breakdown with the people perhaps required to do hours of research
and possibly deciding to work on their cars themselves, as you will have them beginning to believe that there is the chance of mechanics being out there, that do actually exist
that are more crap than some already think they actually are.

On a brighter note

I'm off to the beach, to walk on the sky, think world order, and contemplate art.
