To be honest it tells you something when the Stirling branch are actively encouraging me to put a complaint in about the glasgow branch!!! |

Sounds like they have had enough of hearing it and need the management to put some changes in place.

Well finally the car is sorted, I got the car back from Stirling on monday night took it out tuesday morning and could still feel the vibration, albiet not as bad, the car was booked into Volvomax for an oil change and check over on tuesday so when I dropped it off I asked if they could try and sort the vibration issue out. Well it got a clean bill of health from volvomax (top work as always) and they found that the 2 rear wheels were out of balance, so they got these balanced, so brought the car into work today and its all sorted no vibrations, so glad to finally get it fixed why neither arnold clark thought to balance all the wheels is beyond me, but glad its fixed and that I can now start enjoying it properly...

Yep I won't be going back to the AC in shawlands ever again, they have a nice 3 page complaint letter winging its way to them, have a pretty daming case for Sh1te customer services (being lied too etc) & them bodging the work they did by not balancing wheel and putting the tyre on the wrong way round...
The stirling branch are also fumming with the glasgow branch, and have request they send my old wheel to them, as they think that the replacement wheel was not necessary!, they said the other day the glasgow branch were ignoring their calls and emails, I said welcome to my world LOL |

I had put my last car in for an MOT at a small garage in a nearby town. They failed it and said the car had corroded discs, corroded suspension arm and a few other things. Put it into my usual garage and it passed but only needed one N/S ball joint which the other garage hadn't even noticed.

Yeah I have a trusted mechanic that I use for MOT's and major works only thing is he's in sunderland, but its worth the travelling for the money he saves me and he work is top notch (+ Its an excuse to see my parents for a fews days), but having said that I've started using volvomax and have been really impressed with them, but I'll be heading down to sunderland for the MOT in dec.....

Well really starting to enjoy the T5 now that the vibration is sorted did 400+ miles at the weekend and it never missed a beat, loving the smoothness & the sound for the engine/exhaust still missing the stronger T4 surge, and I need to work out overtaking gears etc, it was easy in the T4 as you knew around 3000rpm the turbo would kick in, but you can't really feel where the turbo kicks in in the T5 so need to experiment a bit more to see where the best power is.
As I'm finally starting to enjoy it decided to fit the new grill yesterday Old grill:- New Grill = :-) looks a bit more menacing now :-) & before anyone says I know its in need of a clean & a polish but done 300 + mile last week so its a bit manky. Just need to wait till its a bit warmer and the prancing mooses will make an appearance ;-), oh & I need to fit the wheels from my girlfriends C30 then it'll be sorted, may look into a remap later in the year.... |
