Thumbs up

I have a double DIN multimedia unit installed.

Bluetooth, i-pod connection, DVD, TV, USB, reverse camera and of course, radio & CD.

Also has a removeable 7" Android tablet.

Thanks all... so will I need more connectors or adapters? I thought it's just a matter of purchasing a new radio and replugging the cables at the back in?

Whatever aftermarket one you get. You need adapter cables for the radio AND for the aerial. Or if you really want to be clever you can splice them. Although I wouldn't personally.

I agree with mat, dont cut the harness, you need a plug for the Aerial and one for the power/speakers etc, and i paid around a tenner for both.

hope it helps!
The gap is under the radio and to mount the cup holder i used the runners of the original (I think but it was months ago)

If you choose (for whatever insane reason) to do the wiring manually avec soldering iron then I have various notes on color-coding after my wiring battles!

Consider not only the 6 regular speakers, but also the active subwoofer (switched via the new radio) and the active aerial (also switched).

Or the rear amp if you have the fancier version.

Ugh.

Anyone else got any pictures of after market radios?

I want to upgrade mine but I've yet to see one that doesn't look out of place with the rest of the dash :/

I like that cup holder - I don't have one in front of the car. The only ones I have are the 2 in the back seats in the middle

If I decide to slide my radio out just to have a look at the back, will this reset anything on the car? I won't unplug anything.. I'll just pull the radio out (if I can)
