Engine: S60: ECM6805 error code. Boost pressure control. faulty flow.

at idle the vacuum neg pressure should be 27 in Hg when using a mityvac in the vac line for the engine pads/mount. at 1100 rpm or greater it should drop to zero.

Sounds like the intercooler has popped. Check for oil around the radiator and condensor. Also check boost hoses for leaks and splits.

Just took it to Dpa in notts. Awesome .....much better than the main dealer Marshalls

They advised doing a smoke test first. It was indeed the intercooler....... got that changed, all the codes reset and the car flies!

No more idle mode. Thanks to all for the info and advice. especially CARL4u44! right first time.....

Then the little gadget stuck on the side of the airbox, the chap disconnected the 2 hoses from the device, bypassing it and joined the 2 hoses together, and asked me to see if that helped the problem. Really gave me time and explained what was going on.

I drove it 6 miles back home and not a sniff of limp mode. I will drive it over the next 6 days and see how it goes. Booked in for a check out on Wed next week.....probably smoke test etc...f
