I was on a fixed limit (company car) and got the R Design Lux and only added tinted windowns (2 children under 3) and power child locks then had no more spare money.

The 2 extras I would of liked are:

Front parking sensors as you cant see the edge and the turning circle is rubbish
Winter pack as leather is cold in winter

Extras I would of liked had money and tax not been an issue
Auto
Sat nav
Sunroof

I picked up a boot liner from ebay for under £30 so if its a company car you will be best off doing the same

Lux models are very well loaded as standard

Lane keeping is simple to turn off, a button on the dash - I have it on for motorways, then turn off on 'normal roads'.

Personally, having (as many know!) agonised over the cost for the driver support pack (DSP), I went for it.....and would not do without it now. The adaptive cruise control is great (particularly with auto....which I have also grown to love in the past 2,000 miles!)....and the active main beam lights are A-Mazing!
BLIS (part of DSP) is not as distracting as I thought it would, and actually works fine.

I wouldn't bother with paddles again.....but heated seats & heated steering wheel was a nice low-cost luxury....

Reverse camera is a must-have.

I would go auto again. Very relaxing on long runs....very smooth in the new 8-spd with the D4 VEA engine.

If you spec the auto dimming rear view mirrors then BLIS is a god-send. Cars with poor quality headlights coming into your blind spot at night can be difficult to spot in the dimmed side mirrors, the little BLIS light is a great extra check.

I dont think the auto would make a huge difference in tax banding - just next one up at 124g Co2 v 117 and for me makes the car special but yes there is a difference in price so all to be considered.

I wouldnt bother adding driver support to a manual as adaptive cruise wouldnt work so well.

Id second the above re mirrors and cameras and sensors. I turn off lane keeping aid but wouldnt be without BLIS on the motorway now that i've had it as someone nearly wiped us out undertaking in a heavy downpour!

Oh yes and Xennons, if you cant beat them...

Was about 24 a month I think, would be higher if select more extras too or nav. So over a grand extra after tax over the 4 years, even more if you get private fuel

Just took delivery of a new XC60 D4 AWD SE LUX NAV with Inscription pack.....simply gorgeous and love everything on it.

Just wish it had the rear view camera.
