Thanks, but it is on...

all the disk info says is track 01, track 02 etc.

I cannot get this extra menu to appear by toggling the mode switch 12 times or whatever...I think this is the problem.

Hi Dave,

Just got my XC90 back from Volvo after the subwoofer had blown and just re-installing my gateway 500. Are you able to send me the firmware as I can't get the track or album text up. Thanks

A further update:

I also fitted the Dension BTA1500 interface and that works even though Dension say it is not supported in the XC90. I now have a bluetooth handsfree system connected through the audio system.

Hi Dave

Newbie so bear with me!

Bought my XC90 recently (privately) and only just found out the 6 CD changer is knackered and not fixable. The radio works fine but looking at the Dension Gateway 500 could do just the job as I have an ipod that wouldn't mind hooking up. This would take away the need for replacing the CD changer (could leave the facia on there). The bluetooth option also sounds good. Does it matter if the CD changer does not work? Not had the facia off myself, as a friend looked at the changer for me. How easy is it to fit for someone new to the ICE installs?

Cheers

Pete

Also, if a cd changer IS needed (as all the reading up I've been doing does suggest this) does it have to be the "Mitsubishi" one (factory fit as standard) or will an alternative work. £600 for a replacement CD changer is extortionate, especially if forking out £280 for the Dension Gateway 500 + £70 for the Dension BTA1500 interface. Know any good breakers!

As far as I know, the dension 500 system interfaces with the optical links between the audio components only so I would guess it doesn't matter whether the CD changer works or not.

This is really easy to install, the unit is connected to power and also to the optical connections...took me about 2 hours. It mimics the cd changer so that the head unit will control tracks etc.

Dension do not recommend fitting the bluetooth adapter to the XC90 but I did anyway and it works great.

You can pick them up on eBay...here is one!
