Your big test for localised RF interference is that the locks will function correctly when the car is elsewhere. Do they?

That's the thing, it's only ever happened the once, here, at home, this was around 6:30am, then I went to use it again this morning at about 5ish (dog walk) and it worked fine, had the car a few years now and it's the 1st time this happened.

I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it, there's a McDonald's I go to sometimes where the alarm always goes off in the car park and the fob only works right up close

At top golf the remote never works on any car I've gone there in

And there's a small area near work where I park sometimes (or try and avoid parking) where again the fob is fussy and always when I come back I have the dash message your alarm was activated check the car..

But other than that it's totally fine everywhere else. Just random local interferences etc

And as already suggested HIAB trucks are the worst, or one I think I recall reading a neighbour was having concrete poured a few doors down

Possibly some transient interference, but unless it happens again I’d just put it done to ‘one of those things’.

I am inclined to agree, what frequency do they run on, I have a powerful mesh setup for my WiFi, I also have 3 weather stations using radio waves, then there's my numerous smart home gadgets, lights, plugs, switches, door lock, ring doorbell Pro, 2 wifi cameras and God knows what else I've forgotten about, not had any issue's with those though, as they've been in place longer than I've had the car, hence wondering what frequency the fobs ise

It’s the weather station that shares the same frequency. The others things shouldn’t be an issue.
The car uses 433.92MHz for the key fob.

I had a feeling they may do, had them in place for years though...

That’s usually when they go wrong. If it happens again, take the batteries out of the remote sensors one at a time to see if it fixes it.

Thanks, does changing the batteries, twice, count as doing that? cause that's what i ended up doing that morning. Hopefully it was a one-off, a wee glitch in the Matrix so to speak
