Yeah it's the 100kw (136ps) engine. These are the faults in 10 months. Deep Breath!

1. 2 injectors
2. Egr valve
3. Turbo solenoid valve
4. Turbo repeat sensor
5. New turbo
6. Air flow meter
7. Fuel cap harness
and various other bits and bobs of a less important nature that I can't just recall!
Totalling over £2.5k thankfully covered by the guy I bought it off. Absolutely excellent after sales from an independant seller who is currently sorcing an S40 for me.

1. 2 injectors --> Siemens
2. Egr valve --> Delphi
3. Turbo solenoid valve --> Garrett
4. Turbo repeat sensor --> Pierburg
5. New turbo --> Garrett
6. Air flow meter --> Siemens

No Volvo/Ford/PSA parts at fault here

But I get your point. Hopefully you'll have better luck with the 2.0D

I wouldn't even blame the makers of the parts! I always blamed the lazy french bar stewards who put it together! Thanks for your input guys. You've put my mind at ease some what!

Stevo -

I own a 55plate V50 2.0DSE Sport which now has 130,000 miles on the clock, most of which have been hard dashes up and down our motorway network and through Europe on several occasions. It sometimes gets it's service intervals stretched (naughty I know) but it keeps coming back for more!!

Apart from the usual faults as discussed on here such as,
Tyres
Squeaks/rattles
Odd wheel bearing type noises
POOR MAIN DEALER SERVICE!!!!!!

my time with the car has been uninterupted and a real breath of fresh air!!

Love the car, love the 52.9mpg average (not reset for well over 30k miles) and will definately buy again.

Hope this helps

PS - Tried a 307 hdi estate before buying the V50, it rattled so much from new that I got a headache and asked the salesman to turn round!! Fail!
