All the old Volvos are there:
200 series - safer than average
700 series - safer than average
900 series - safer than average
850 - safer than average
P1 S/V70 - safer than average

Interesting that all the cars before Ford bought Volvo are still safer than average in real collisions.

Quite impressive if they are actually figures based on data in 2009 I also noticed that the 300 (below average) and 400 series (average) were listed. Not bad for smaller cars for their age.

Thanks, I really must pay more attention! So my 760 is perhaps a little safer than I thought!

Good link that one!

The cars in our household are all in the "safest class"

11' Ford Galaxy 2.0TDCi Titanium
05' Ford C-max 1.6TDCi Zetec
03' Volvo S60 2.0T SE

Though of the three I do prefer my Volvo

Hmm, Swedish company working in the Swedish auto industry favours a Swedish car brand? Well, spank my ass!

Meanwhile, a British report has named the Rover Metro 1.1 as the safest car in the world!!
