Just a quick update and some exciting developments for the Cosford Meet.

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to share exciting and important news regarding our up and coming meeting at RAF Cosford on Sunday November 16th.

We've been working hard behind the scenes to team up with a Volvo main dealer and today we're happy to announce that Brindley Volvo from Wolverhampton will attend our meeting with a selection of new Volvo cars from the current model line up.....will there be a new XC90 to play with ?

On the day you'll be able to view, inspect and test drive the models and talk to the Brindley Volvo support team.

The cherry on the top of this particular cake will also see PR agents and photographers from Volvo's European publicity partner "No Bull" attending.

No Bull, are looking to run an article online covering the event and also help with advertising the event across a number of Volvo main dealer and specialist websites.

So come on everyone........lets get as many of our cars along on the day to ensure we give them a proper VolvoTuning.Net photo spectacle and story to report on! spread the word guys

Royal Air Force Museum Cosford,
Shifnal, Shropshire TF11 8UP. Head for and exit at Junction 3 of the M54, from there you'll pick up the VT Meet signs which will guide you to our Marshaling team who will direct you to our reserved parking area.

The Agenda

1. 09:00 Gates open, Marshalls and set up team arrive construct VT and Volvo event stands.
2. 09:30 -10:30 VT.Net members and guests assemble in reserved car parking area. (follow signs and Marshall directions)
3. 09:30 Lawrence from Demon Dent Removal will start working on team member cars for those who requested this service.
4. 10:30 Coffee and Connect cupcakes on sale, what’s in the ChillR and Raffle tickets go on sale.
5. 10:30 -11:00 VT.Net and C30 Crew enter Museum. The four V’s quiz starts which is free to enter.
6. 14:00 Assembled back at the VT Stand as the results of the Quiz, Raffle, ChillR and trophies awarded for best cars in their particular class
7. 14:30 It's the big one! The first ever C30 Crew v VT Massive tug of war to be held on the grass area by the Hercules.
8. 15:00 Group photo opportunity with member’s cars and planes.
9. 16:00 -17:00 Further opportunity to natter and view Museum.
10. Gates close.

There are several Costa Coffee, outlets on site as well as a restaurant that offers excellent cooked breakfasts and Sunday roast dinners and cream teas through out the day. So feel free to stop and enjoy a beverage and food at your convenience. The Museum is well served for both pushchair and wheelchair users.

In addition, Andrew has also raided the regalia draw and on the day Volvo toy models and umbrella's will be offered at prices not seen anywhere else .....in Andrews words" we'll be bringing along a selection of parts like model cars, umbrellas etc that our parts man Mark wants to get rid of, sell cheap etc.!"

Here is a reminder of the various competitions and prizes on offer on the day. (Remember all proceeds will go towards VT Charities).

1. We've finalised the four V quiz, which will add an interactive and competitive element to the day, this is free to enter and we have another bottle of Glenfiddich
whisky beautifully boxed and kindly donated by Mr Bullock to give away to one lucky winner.

2. Don’t forget the ChillR competition where on the day you could win one of four great prizes. Have a look inside the Chill'R' and guess the number of items that's in
it.....it’s that simple folks!

1st Prize, A signature 12 year single malt Glenfiddich Whisky
2nd Prize, 20 bottles of Stella Artois
3rd Prize, A 2006...yes 2006! Gran Reserva Rioja
4th Prize, A 2013 bottle of white Verdicclio.... a great silver award winning wine.

3. Mrs Mills will also be baking iced cupcakes which will be topped off with some very unique VT.Net toppers Each cupcake will be on sale for £1.

4. All of the proceeds from the ChillR competition, the cupcakes and 'The late late New Year’s Party Raffle' will go towards the VT.Net charity.

5. Now!!!! talking of the 'Late late New Year’s Party Raffle' just take a look at the prizes donated and a BIG THANK YOU to all that have donated

And! and ! ladies and gentle people ....our friends at Brindley Volvo have donated to official Volvo embroidered Parka Coats.

6. We’ll also have three trophies to give away on the day. The team from Brindley Volvo will be walking the car park and impartially picking out
their favorite Volvo Saloon, Coupe and Estate.

7. We also have the Tug of War between the C30 Crew and the VT Massive....that’s massive because we really have been eating all the pies!!

8. Brindley Volvo will have their stand on the day with at least two models from the current range on display.

9. Demon Dents are on hand to sort out those small parking dinks for those of you who have requested this service

10. Oh and of course! lets not forget that we're at RAF Cosford which has one of the best collections of Aircraft in the country. Keep in mind its completely free entry
and you only need pay £2.50 for car parking.

11. There will also be plenty of opportunities for photos both inside and out including the ability to take pictures of your pride and joy in front of some of the
aircraft being exhibited outside.
