Would you be willing to bring it over for a service and to srt the problem out?

I'd need to d some testing to prove what the problem is and sort it.

Unfortunately I'm in the north east so nowhere near you, and not likely to be! Ive just had it serviced today minus the spark plug change.

Is it serious?

I've just checked with Volvo and there's no outstanding recalls on the car, so I assume the fuel pump issue mentioned elsewhere isn't the cause.
