It could be used for that yes. It is also good to see how any modifications you may have done are working out, remaps etc.

Usually a good day out and chance to put faces to names.

Without being pedantic, a dyno session is only of use if you do before and after mods/tuning or intend to use it for bespoke mapping. Had plenty on various bikes where I need to get the fuelling right and well worth the money but alas I have a normally aspirated 2.4....I already know it's a bit asthmatic but it can put on a turn if pressed.

Pretty sure it's £35 for 2 runs. But if there are 20+ I reckon I could get them down to 30.
