Smile Scotch corner

Scotch corner sounds good to me things are a little bit better on the money front so would be very interested in this meet if it goes ahead

I think it's all down to how many people would be willing to come, not much point if there are only 3 or 4 - So who else would be interested?

Do you fancy a bit of a convoy to a picturesque location? Just a nice slow leisurely drive and a chinwag with fellow enthusiasts....

I'd imagine that we need to do it early october, or wait until maybe late march/early april next year to get reasonable weather and give people a chance to make arrangements?

I'd love to do it, but expect my car to be there with all of it's faults! Wrinkled doorcards, a missing rear door trim, damaged rear wheelarch, and broken interior handles - I doubt they will be repaired in time before the day! But hey, then people can see the improvements when we next get together!!

So if your up for it, post a message here and lets see what the level of interest is....

Regards
Eddy

Sounds a nice idea. As i live near Scotch Corner, if you want any assistance setting up a route etc, i,ll be glad to help.
Also if anyone was interested in a rally, i have a contact for a field in Northumberland overlooking Holy Island. Maybe a meet and Cruise to the island (tide permitting) and a BBQ ??

I like the idea of a BBQ - If everyone brought their own stuff (breadbuns, choice of meat etc)? Perhaps a large pot of tea and coffee on the go too? Do you have a BBQ that you could take?

I've just punched Holy Island into AutoRoute and it's 105 miles from Scotch Corner - That's a 210 mile round trip, which I think would probably be too far for most people? I'm not ruling it out, but we have to cater for the majority, so I'm open to any comments.....

I've never been to Tirril, so cannot comment on that - It's up to everyone else if we have a meal there, or a BBQ as suggested in another post? I'm happy with either....
