I do return here from time to time and was surprised to see my name on this thread from 2006/9. I still have my Brian Gue built Amazon after 15 years.
My comment about too much paint referred to a coupe of paint runs that I have just lived with all this time. After 15 years I have two small holes, one on the bottom of the nearside front wing, and one on the door right next to it. I will leave these for another couple of years and then go back to Brian for a bit of welding and painting. My maintenance this year has been with a new clutch and work on the gearbox internals. Not yet completed but will be done over the winter ready for next spring.
