im after some front legs andy and want to know if all the legs are a standard fitting on the p1 v/s70's..

and id like to know if the dampers for a t5, and stiffer than the tdi ones or are they all the same..

iv have made some posts in here a few times but got no reply.

thing is, im sure my front near side damper is on its way out and needs replacing and in that case, i want to see if i can replace them with t5/v70r type shocks to see if it will make any difference.

im probably pi$$ing in the wind like but would still like to know so i can source some.

I saw your posts but didn't reply because I honestly don't know. Bearing in mind your wishbones are different from standard cars (inc T5's - but not R's) it would not surprise me if the shocks were different. The springs are definately different. You've got a lot more weight up front than us petrol lot.

On vadis for the front suspension for your model there are 8 different springs and 5 different shocks!!

My advice - get the 8 digit code off your chassis plate and send it to Rufe, he can then tell you what shocks and springs you have at the moment.

Fitted these today along with my HIDS4U 6000K kit.

My Opinions

Projectors - easy DIY install but product internals (chrome etc) just aren't upto scratch. The chrome (and I assume the black finish option is the same) just looks too cheap and there are gaps around the projectors which you can see through. If this was an OEM item, the finish would have been first class.

Indicators - Function well enough but internals quality and finish isn't brilliant. External fit isn't great as there is inconsistent gaps between the indicator cluster and the wing.

Summary:

Provide a nice lift to the front end, easy to remove/fit without issues, perform the job required but, product quality is below par.

I'll get some pictures up over the weekend/next days as I get a chance.

Have to admit, on a Silver car the chrome finish looks like a nice match, so thanks again to all for posting pictures of their own vehicles.

Looks very nice and with the prospect of driving in the dark more often as winter closes in you will really notice the difference in lighting output compared to the standard headlights - Chalk and Cheese springs to mind, the projectors are far better even with standard bulbs fitted - Mike

If you want my opinion, I think they look nice in the silver projectors
