Bummer! I wanted 1 of these for so long and couldn't find a good 1 so bought my S60. If I had a spare 1200 quid I'd have snapped your arm off!!! Grrrrrrr! Good luck with you sale mate!

Does the power steering on the S80 use auto transmission fluid like most PAS systems do? (Sorry I don't know much about later Volvos). If it does, it may be worth trying this to cure the leak.

I'm going to try some in my (leaky) Merc autobox to hopefully delay the need for a rebuild for a while. It might be snake oil, but nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Hmm, Good Idea,

Although its stopped leaking. And the bottle is reading the right level.

All the other fluid levels are correct.

No oil has been used. PAS fluid bang on and coolant levels bang on and even brake fluid.

So I am at a loss.

Still selling it though.

And was still getting 26 - 32 out of her!

Would be a shame to see it scapped. Where are you located? Also, have you had the steering rack leak priced for repair?

If you look around then you can find them for £145 from this guy new

They have 100% feedback so they will be OK.

So it can be done for not a lot of money.
