There are some differences, but I am not sure. I guess things would be a bit easier if you used your existing head. Not sure to be honest.

hmm the reason for the change of engine is to save the hassle of mucking around with the head

But aren't the LPG bits connected to your head already?

I think so, yes. However, you may find out that a replacement engine will be quite pricey from ebay or breaker. You could look for a spares/repairs T4, take out what you need and then break the rest here.
