It's a 4 .... aha! and cheaper Towbar electric for me too, bonus!

Doe the same apply to getting the front passenger window to go up on a "one-touch" Currently It doesn't ans says it a region specific feature in the handbook. Can a dealer just tweak that too?

I've just called my not so friendly Volvo dealer who wants £50 to do it. Does anyone have any experience of this being done elswhere at a more sensible price?

crikey, thats the cost of 1 replacement bulb then, which makes the chance and cost of the other one having to be replaced over the next 7 years for the other £50 look quite tempting to leave them as they are.

As a side issue.....
If Volvo DRL's are set as on from the factory, and you request them to turn them off...... knowing how "slippery" some (read; all) insurance companies are, could they argue in the event of an accident that you had turned off a safety feature and therefore voided your insurance cover?
Im just wondering if its really worth the potential aggrovation, especially if someone pulls out in front of you, you hit them, and they are seriously hurt. If it is then deemed that your insurance is invalid, surely youre screwed?

Just a thought....

Absolutely spot on Strick

Why on earth have a safety feature for which Volvo are renowned, plus all new cars now sold must have them by law anyway, and then pay to have it deleted? Surely being seen gives a much safer feeling than worrying about the cost of the odd bulb.

Dont get me wrong, im not knocking the OP's question, thats his choice. I have my opinion, but that's exactly that.... MY opinion, and he is entitled to his of course.
I just wondered if anyone thought there was a potential loophole there for the lovely people we pay a premium to each year.

Blimey I would never pay that much. You could get 3 sets of D2R xenon bulbs for that on a well know online auction site. Last you the lifetime of the car for sure.
