Hi,

I'm hopefully removing the engine and box this weekend so I can take off the tail end then. Would you be interested in the complete gearbox?

Tim,
Possibly the gearbox can be a perfect replacement for an actual BW55 gearbox driver. The tailend never fails so will not be bothered with if this is missing. (Wrap it against dust ofcourse.)

No I certainly am not in need of a complete gearbox.

Just sent a PM. BR

Uploaded some pics today of the rampant rot and the reason this old lady is being broken rather than being returned to the road.

The "good" section of sill and floor.

From inside the car the excessive rot was plain to see.

I did have some better pics of the rotten floor sections and other sill, but now can't find them!

The areas of boot wheel wells that appear to be sound are in fact 99% filler. Infact I caught the drivers side one on a ramp as I was reversing up it to get underneath and it completely disintegrated!

The hulk has been a treasure trove of much needed spares for my 240 estate so hasn't gone to waste.

One last pic of the 244, I forgot to take any of the car actually complete though!

Doesn't look too bad does it? Don't be fooled! not a single panel is free of rot holes or filler.

Unhappy Still Looking

Hi, I'm still looking for a replacement cylinder head for an early 1970s Volvo 240 as it fits a marine Volvo Penta AQ115B, can anyone help?
Langley.
