Poor you and your poor car - how sad. I am looking for a loving home for a 760 same year and colour as yours - (diesel) - will sne dmore details if interested. He's a very good runner but he has a baby sister nowe and we don't need 2 cars so would rather he went to a good home as he's been in the family since new.

There is a word for peeps that do that....

In fact there are several words to describe that sort of person!!!!

Hope you get a nice replacement soon.. And don't settle for that first offered settlement figure. Hold out for more...

That is just terrible.

It stinks that your nice car, preserved at great effort, is lost. No compensation makes up for that.

thanks for all the kind words, and as you say 'easy rhino' no compensation will make up for it.
oh and thanks for all the advice about the insurance companies, i will hold out for a better offer than the first.

i have a crappy pic of the rover 75 that hit me, but its at night and looks well...rubbish, but i will see what i can do with it.

at least i know the crumple zones work, the passenger compartment stayed in shape and all the inner wheelarches and important bits did...good old volvo!!
