Every other thing on the car was in a good stage zero. I did all the vacuum/boost checks, even plug up the small tiny orifice at the bottom of the intercooler but still have the "spike" on throttle release. Checked with another maunal R user and he says his car had this behaviour from day one - new from the showroom.

Since I had a 850-T5 (A) with the Rica 304, I plugged it in. Power improvement was very obvious and the "spike" was gone. Though the ECU was different, it didn't matter much as I later got the same upgrade on the manual ECU. If you go for an upgrade asking for the manual, the spike remains.

As for why the "spike", it could be that during coasting down, some fueling parameters in the manual tune, is still releasing fuel even though TPS is shut. Don't forget we have a Idle valve for the extra air too. It helps in toe-heel downshifts though
