Good morn,

Your motor car isn't all that old (only about 30 years if I recall), so the chances are the metal parts are fine and it just needs new rubber bits. If it were me I'd try a rebuild kit like this one for a tenner:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/363697150...QAAOSwbxxhwgAL

There will be a similar one for the slave if you suspect that is leaking as well.

The cylinders are pretty easy to work on once off the motor car.

I would certainly try tightening that before you spend £100 on a new one!

It might just be the seal from the bottle to the cylinder.

Compared to most cars the master is not that expensive https://www.classicswede.co.uk/RHD_C..._20309885.aspx

and teh slave is very cheap and easy to change https://www.classicswede.co.uk/Clutc..._20715485.aspx

most cars now are gearbox off to change the slave cylinder!

So I think it’s defo rivets and not anything I can tighten

So I think a new one is the easiest option

The classic swede one is exactly what mine looks like

Any other options?

That is not so expensive: £100 to fix the whole problem. I think if it were me I'd have had a go at the repair kit for a tenner first (but then I'm a tightwad), but I see the OP's point of view.
