Been doing a lot of research and there is one thing I am still not clear on. Which is the better car to have Phase 1, 2 or 3??

Unfortunatly finding all those things will take some looking but not impossible. AWD V70R's are becoming rare and a manual gearbox is also quite rare in volvo's in general. I'm not 100% but someone here is bound to know, some R's may have a geartronic box giving the best of both worlds. Having said that they'll be expensive if they go wrong.
Hope you find what your looking for buddy Oh yeah and a fair few V70R's will also have a stage 3 rica tune done already giving that 300bhp your looking for and if not I believe its about 300 notes to get done

Sorry just thought of something else.
A V70R driven on the limit might be a little worse mpg than your misti but driven sensably will return high 20's. I know there are differences between them but I manage to get around 26mpg from my t5 850 with a mixture of looning about and taking it easy. Plus strange as it may sound the torque on these cars is emence even standard your looking at 350 torques and thats Evo territory if memory serves me correctly Handling wise they are 1 of if not the best handling estate money can buy so once again good luck in your hunt and I'm sure you wont be disapointed

But the main difference with the fuel economy will be the smile on my face. 18MPG in the Pajero pottering about 18MPG with 300BHP
When I mapped my Mondeo, I tuned it over a period of 2 months, I purposely fitted a biggish turbo so I could drive off boost with good fuel economy, and ee by ekk it was good off boost but when it was boosting it was thirsty but was SO worth it. |

Oh yes without a dout there. Think a stage 3 gives 308bhp but a few members here have got much more under the hood

I've just had a V70 D5 S as i have a baby on the way and will require more mpg, which now means my Silver '98 V70R AWD Auto is up for grabs if that's any use to you and you can convert to AUTO and handle silver paint? It has black half leather interior too with silver trim and the AWD is working... proving very useful in the snow we had not so long ago:-) Drop me a message if you're interested :-)
