Car is now fully working aside from the coolant light but other than that the car is now driving spot on no jerking etc just clean smooth driving with power when you need it :-D i am so happy that this car didnt turn out to be a dud. Its now fully serviced with a cambelt change and its had new spark plugs and it shifts good and proper now

Zaff, if the engine management light has come on, get the codes read. Mine was the ETM and MAF failing, MAF was about £170 for a BOSCH one (DON'T go aftermarket, it'll last a month and die). The ETM cost about £300 all in to fix, a new unit + labour and programming. Once the ETM is done though and the MAF, they'll easily last about 10 years so once it's done, it's done.

Enjoy the motor though...proper quick cars them things.

engine management was due to slight misfire which was down to spark plugs and now that they have been replaced with NGKs these are now sorted so cheerz for the advice though. I have got a code reader and the only thing it has fetched up is - P1113. Ive made a thread on here http://volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=111644
If you know anything about the above let me know.
Cheerz
