i think it depends on your perception of 'right'

The wings look creased, which at best can be filled, primed and painted. However they're still creased under the paint/filler..

Personally i'd be fitting a new wing if i wanted it 'right' from an insurance perspective. But to get it looking right, i rekon £300-350 should see you fine.

Yep, mine was also found via Ebay. It was listed as a classified advert though.

I wouldn't let this particular example put you off buying anything else on Ebay.

Following the below principles I have bought and sold several vehicles on EBAY without a hitch.

As a seller, if you prepare the vehicle WELL, take plenty of good photographs and MOST IMPORTANTLY OF ALL are TOTALLY honest in your description there should be no nasty surprises even when a buyer is travelling long distance.

As a buyer, you must absolutely demand ( expect is no good ) a full, brutally honest description when buying a car.

Unfortunately some peoples idea of "excellent" or "very good condition" do not match up to other peoples hence the above.

Darryl

Also, with the one key, carphone kit this looks like a very abused ex rep mobile. And you've got to ask yourself whatelse the seller has 'forgotten' to mention and why they are moving it on so quickly...

Thumbs down

Personally, I cannot see that this car will fetch much more than £2k, it's clearly had a hard life and without service history it can only be bought at face value. A £476 service will NOT undo years of mechanical neglect and is a step in the right direction rather than a solution. My suggestion is to be absolutely honest in describing the car and IF it has a Volvo Dealer history it might be possible to get the history validated. I too, would be rather unimpressed with the seller had I driven to see the car based on the initial description - does the seller actually think people are not going to notice?
